University of Miami School of Communication

With no dedicated web designer or developer, the School of Communication’s website had become text-heavy, cluttered with sidebars, and filled with old photos and outdated information. It didn’t reflect who we are: a powerhouse in media, creativity, and communication education.

I led a complete redesign, selecting new typography, building templates for undergraduate and graduate programs, and designing around 100 new pages. I collaborated with 25+ faculty from all five departments to ensure accuracy and updated content and visuals across the site.

The impact was immediate. Website visitors increased by 98%, and page views rose by 81% year over year. Clicks to the graduate apply button jumped by 966%, and clicks to the request info form grew by 287%. Graduate enrollment-related page visits more than doubled, increasing by 113%.

Study Florida

Study Florida

The original Study Florida website was outdated and lacked the energy and clarity needed to engage prospective international students. Using the new brand identity I developed, including a new logo and color palette, I redesigned the website to feel modern and user-friendly while still maintaining the necessary information.

A strong web presence was key to improving our Google Ads performance and supporting international recruitment efforts. Within the first year of launch, the new website reached over 40,000 students from more than 100 countries.

It didn’t just resonate with students, our member institutions took notice too. In the year following the rebrand and new site launch, Study Florida membership grew from 28 to 37 institutions.
